Harvesting: Our blueberry harvest takes place between March and June.
For export and domestic markets, we conduct harvesting at different levels of ripeness, color, and caliber.
After the blueberry harvest, a sizing process is performed using machines. The berries are sorted into three sizes: below 14 mm, 14-18 mm, and above 18 mm (Jumbo), and then sent for packaging accordingly.
Packaging: Standard packaging for blueberries includes 5 kg bulk packaging and 0.125 kg lidded punnets. The 5 kg bulk products are packed in plastic crates, while the 0.125 kg punnets are packed in 12 x 0.125 kg cardboard boxes.
We can accommodate alternative packaging based on customer preferences. For air and road transportation, we provide packaging in custom sizes, using corner supports, pallet caps, straps, and netting to ensure the goods are ready for shipment.
Cold Chain Storage and Transportation: Our facility is equipped with a three-compartment cold storage area. The fruit core temperature is brought down to 2°C within 2 hours (pre-cooling), and the products are then preserved at temperatures between 2°C to 4°C until shipment.
We use our company-owned refrigerated vehicles to maintain the cold chain integrity during transportation, ensuring that our products reach our customers and airport cargo terminals while preserving the cold chain.
